Kids always like the boxes better than the gifts! (I love this photo!)

Oh, Where shall I start??

As of December 7, Matthew has been with us for an entire year. The time went so fast. We celebrated by telling Matthew the story of how we became a famiy. I tell him the story quite often but he is only interested in the part about how it took four airplanes to get from Kiev to South Dakota and the part about sleeping on train from Odessa to Kiev. We attended Katie and Caleb's school Christmas program. They are getting so big. After the concert we went to the Drive-Inn for Ice cream. I think Matthew enjoyed it but it is hard for me to enjoy ice cream when it is 9 degrees outside.

Christmas

We had a nice Christmas, Matthew doesn't completly understand Santa but he does know that it is baby Jesus's birthday. I made cupcakes and we put candles in them. The kids sang happy birthday to Jesus and blew out the candles. Matthew was pretty good for the long Christmas Eve Mass, we really do need to practice whispering with him though.

This was the winner of "That's not my job"award.
This picture reminds me of Ukraine. On the day we were supposed to go to court, there was a huge traffic jam all because a small branch had fallen on the road. Nobody would get out a drag the branch off the road because "It's not my job". So traffic was backed up for miles.
