HOME 7 MONTHS ALREADY!
I can hardly believe we have been home almost 7 months already! Matthew has grown so much in so many ways. He is 2.5 inches taller, he understands everything we say to him, and he has even started to speak in sentences. He said "I see ya" to Jeff as he peeked through the door, and "There's the moon." He loves to swim in Aunt Angie's pool and isn't afraid to jump in or go under water. He worships his cousin Emma (4) and follows her wherever she goes. He is almost potty trained and a few weeks ago we moved his crib out of our room and into his own room acrossed the hall. It didn't bother him at all to sleep alone.
On July 1, Matthew and I were in my little sister's wedding. Matthew and Ben were the ring bearers along with Emma who was the flower girl. They each held one of Emma's hands and they walked right down the isle. I couldn't help getting a lump in my throat watching them from the alter. He took a nap through the ceremony and was ready for lots of dancing with his cousins. He also got to meet lots and lots of family that he hadn't met before.
Every day he amazes us with something new that he has learned, so far he knows most of his colors, shapes, and even different types of cars (he is ALL boy). He know everyone's names and can recognize their cars from quite a distance. He has incredible fine and gross motor skills and a fantastic memory. He has one of those leap pad fridge magnet sets that tell you the sound the letters make. He has already mastered the sounds that several letters make. (Alright I'll stop bragging.)
He likes to copy what we say, Laura called him a copy cat and he "Meowed back at her".

Sounds like Matthew is doing great!! I love the pics. You should enter the rainbow one in a contest. That is a perfect picture.
We are doing well. Travelling all summer and we are finally home and settling in getting ready for boy #3. You can check out our blog at www.thecopesfamily.blogspot.com.
We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers!
