Day 28- Monday Sept. 22 (Is it the first day of fall?)

We went shopping at a big store today-I don't think I would call it a mall maybe more of a warehouse store. Anyway we were looking for socks and a jacket for Vasya. We found the socks, but no jacket. Maybe tomorrow we will go to the center of Odessa and look for a jacket or sweatshirt for him. He also asked for a stocking hat-he had on one with a tiny red school bus on the front today. We had a good visit with him-without an interpreter. He really likes Matthew. We then hopped a bus for no.9, Sasha was waiting by the gate for us. He gives me a drawing everyday-today it even had a picture of him inside. I will take a picture of the picture and post it soon. It is getting darker sooner so our time gets cut short with Sasha. The pizza place was out of pizza-at least I think that's what the lady said. So I cooked something like stirfry and we washed it down with some chocolate ice cream. Vanya is working to get everything for court, we need lots of prayers.. We can't go to court until the lawsuit thing from Oleg and the other family is settled. The judge has read over the documents but we need the prayers for things to go quickly and our way. We have Matthew and law is for keeping siblings together, but even so keep the prayers a coming. The SDA thinks Vanya can pick up their approval tomorrow or Wednesday, then the judge will set a time. So pray that court is soon and things go our way, we aren't really worried about the lawsuit, but more about how much time we will be here. Tomorrow makes four weeks since we left home, and we still have the ten day wait and the time we will spend collecting birth certificates, passports, tax id numbers, and dealing with the boys' share of an apartment(this part can take a long time), then we have to get to Kiev for medical evaluations for the boys, and their visa interviews. I would love to say we are more than half done, but we just don't know. We love and miss everyone, Happy Birthday to Haylee Erickson and Gabby Norby, sorry you both will have to wait for your b-day gifts-how about a couple new cousins?

Hello everyone - prayers should be flooding your way. Did Vasya go with you to visit Sasha? Explain the "boys' share of the apartment" - what do you mean? The days are getting shorter here and the harvest is on hold because of rain. Nights are great for sleeping, except for those with allergies :) Take care, Kim

We're all praying for you guys. Sorry we've been out of touch, but we've been eagerly following your blog for updates, and especially for photos. Thanks for doing such a great job of sharing so many great photos of the boys together. It's great to hear about and see how well they are bonding together. We look forward to welcoming you all home soon.

Love, Troy, Jennifer, Kira, Mikayla, and Gabby.

PS I'll pass your birthday wishes on to Gabby in the morning.

We are praying that things go very smoothly and quickly for you. Thanks for the b-day wish for Haylee, I'll give her the message. She would be delighted to have 2 new cousins for her birthday I am sure. The girls ask daily what is going on, did you post anything, etc. There isn't a moment that we are not thinking about you all. Thanks for the postings and pictures.
