Sasha took this picture.
This sign tells how many miles to cities all over the world.
Matthew was disappointed that this great big water fountain only spit out this tiny stream of water.

Sasha's english-russian dictionary also has things you have to find on each page. We found them all except for one.

Day 40 Saturday-Three weeks until Matthew's fifth birthday

Today we went to the center after lunch. We wandered around seeing sights we had seen three years ago. The oprah house is beautiful, plus on Saturdays the entire area is filled with wedding parties. I bet there were 50 brides in that area. Matthew was very interested in all the limos.

We saw the sea from a distance and Jeff noticed that the port had upgraded their shipping container movers (sorry I don't know the technical word for that). We found a bookstore and bought two english russian dictionaries- one for Vasya and one for Sasha. Vasya's is the regular kind and Sasha's is the Disney version with lots of pictures. We bought a guide book to Odessa and Matthew got a paper steam roller truck that you put together, hopefully it isn't too hard to build since the instructions are in Russian. We then struck out to find the stop for the 127 bus. We knew this bus would take us to Sasha's, I had a rough idea of where to get on but didn't know exactly. We did find it and rode it to no.9. Matthew fell asleep soon after we got on and slept 45 minutes or so until we arrived. We had a good time with Sasha, we looked through his dictionary but brought it home because he doesn't get to keep anything we give him while he is at no.9. Tomorrow we will give Vasya his-he has been asking for one for a week or so. He does get to keep what we give him as long as it doesn't get stolen. We had a nice supper with our "roommates" and just finished some ice cream.

It's so neat seeing all of those places in the summer time! ;) All I have are gloomy pictures from the winter...pretty, still. Hope you enjoyed the ice cream.
