It's been a year since we left for Ukraine
Last Oct 5 we left for an incredible (and long) adventure. We have been going back through the archives reading our posts. If I had known that everything would turn out ok, I would have enjoyed more of our trip. We did sight see a lot, but I regret not seeing more of Matthew's hometown and relaxing more. We miss lots of things about Ukraine and would love to go back.

Matthew will turn three in less than 10 days. We are having a big party for him with an Elmo cake and lots of people. He really doesn't understand what b-days are but he loves to blow out the candles. We got him a Tonka scoop shovel truck to go with his dump truck. I am sure he will spend thousands of hours digging holes with the dog.

Cara, I was introduced to your blog by a distant relative of either you or your husband. A dear friend of mine married Robert "Coop" Coop a year ago. Her name is Wendi. So she gave me the link to your site!
My husband and I leave a week from today for Ukraine! We have an appointmet at the new SDA a week from Wednesday! We've been in the process for almost 3 years! We are ready to go!!
Your little Matthew is adorable!
